The gluteal cleft and genitals are never included in any of my treatments. Manual lymphatic drainage can be beneficial to breast tissue, especially if there have been axillary lymph nodes removed. This is done only by request, with thorough communicaiton. Access to the side body sometimes requires working close to breast tissue and/or moving breast tissue. This will also only be done within your comfort level, with clear communication.
It is best for me to have access to as much skin as possible for this technique. You will be properly draped with sheets at all times, only exposing the areas we are actively treating. If you prefer to keep your undergarments on, I am happy to work around them, over them, or avoid the area. Your comfort is more important than my access. Please notify me immediately if you are ever uncomfortable with your draping, or where you are being touched. You may change your mind about your comfort level with any part of your body at any time.
Vodder method Manual Lymphatic Drainage is an extremely gentle technique that encourages superficial lympahtic flow without causing inflammation. It is a clinical approach to reducing swelling and pain. If you are looking for a more vigorous massage, please ask me about my signature massage or the Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage.
Vodder method Manual Lymphatic Drainage does not use any oil or lotion. I will occasionally use some jojoba oil on the abdomen to help with digestive support if requested. Additionally, for all treatments, I may incorporate occasional use of essential oils, candles, etc. Please note if you have any allergies, skin sensitivities, or simply do not like certain scents or products.
