Use of topical products and aromatherapy

Vodder method Manual Lymphatic Drainage does not use any oil or lotion.  As you progress in your healing (typically 6+ weeks post op, or when swelling has significantly subsided), it may be appropriate and helpful to use other massage techniques to re-mobilize the tissue and aid with muscle tension that can arise for various reasons after surgery.  Genle cupping can also help with tissue mobilation and lymphatic drainage.  I primarily use unscented jojoba oil.  Occasionally, I will offer a topical arnica salve. Additionally, for all treatments, I may incorporate occasional use of essential oils, candles, etc.  Please note if you have any allergies, skin sensitivities, or simply do not like certain scents or products.
