A lil' about me, Cheryl Harsch, YOUR massage therapist!
After working within private and corporate business, I took a leap in 2012 and followed my heart to go back to school. Since successfully graduating with a 2200-hour massage therapy diploma from Mount Royal University, I’ve worked within a chiropractic centre, two interdisciplinary centres and on my own as a mobile massage therapist throughout Calgary and Cochrane.
In July 2019, I relocated from Calgary to Leduc and had the opportunity to join a small team within a local massage business for 1½ years, leading to where I am now—thrilled to welcome you to my practice, Beyond Your Surface Massage.
I am a proud member of The Chamber (Leduc, Nisku and Wetaskiwin Regions); and, in good standing with the Canadian Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA).
I invest in my professional growth by taking continuing education, while developing and honing my skills including work as a Teacher's Assistant with Seminars For Health; and have developed a foundation of a variety of THERAPEUTIC modalities, including but not limited to:
• Swedish (Relaxation) & Deep Tissue Massage
• Myofascial Decompression
• Dynamic (Silicone) & Pump-style Cupping
• Intra- and extra-oral treatment for TMJ Dysfunction/Disorder (TMJD/TMD)
• Trigger Point Therapy
• Lymph Drainage Therapy (within my scope of practice)
• Pre- and post-natal (*High-risk pregnancies must have clearance, a script/note, from a primary care provider to continue with treatment.)
• Assisted & Facilitated Stretching
